BTS Complete Reunion Imminent as All Members Set for Military Discharge by June 2025

The global K-pop supergroup will end their military hiatus with all seven members returning by mid-June, marking their first opportunity for full-group activities since 2022.
After nearly three years of mandatory military service that began with Jin's enlistment in December 2022, BTS is set to reunite as a complete group by the end of June 2025. The staggered discharge schedule represents a pivotal moment for the Grammy-nominated septet and millions of fans worldwide.
The remaining BTS members will complete their service on a precise schedule: RM and V are set for discharge on June 10, 2025, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11. Suga, who has been serving as a social service worker due to a previous shoulder surgery, will be the last to complete his obligations on June 21, 2025.
BIGHIT MUSIC announced that RM and V will greet fans in Chuncheon, while Jimin and Jungkook will meet supporters in Yeoncheon at designated locations rather than at their military bases. The agency has requested fans avoid visiting military installations for safety reasons.
Jin and J-Hope have already completed their service, returning in June 2024 and October 2024 respectively, and both have been actively pursuing solo projects.
The military period has been strategically used for individual artistic growth. Jin recently announced his first solo world tour, "Run Seokjin EP Tour," which kicks off June 28-29, 2025, at Goyang Auxiliary Stadium. The 18-show tour across nine cities includes performances in Japan, the United States, and Europe, with Jin set to become the first K-pop soloist to headline London's prestigious O2 Arena.
J-Hope is concluding his global "Hope on the Stage" tour with homecoming performances on June 13-14 at Goyang Stadium, coinciding with BTS's 12th debut anniversary. During a recent live session, he expressed that "most of the members will be discharged by then" and that "this year's FESTA will be extremely meaningful."
The 2025 BTS Festa, marking the group's 12th debut anniversary, will take place June 13-14 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, featuring over 20 interactive booths across two exhibition halls. The celebration includes an 'ARMY BOMB PHOTO SPOT' with lighting shows, a 'VOICE ZONE' featuring members' messages, and a 'TROPHY ZONE' displaying achievements.
This year's Festa holds particular significance as it may feature the first full-group public appearance since their military hiatus began, with industry observers speculating about potential surprise reunions or announcements.
HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang acknowledged during the March 2025 shareholders' meeting that while the company is "holding talks with top music producers," the members "need plenty of time to prepare" upon their return. He noted that "BTS are artists of top global status, and this status demands a careful evaluation of the group's vision for what is 'next'."
The group's military service has impacted HYBE's revenue, though the company has maintained stability through other artists and digital platforms. Industry analysts forecast a significant financial boost for HYBE following BTS's return, with estimated operating profit increases of 54% reaching approximately ₩500 billion KRW (about $339 million USD).
The completion of military service transforms BTS into what Korean media calls "군필돌" (military-completed idols), potentially enhancing their domestic credibility while maintaining their global status. The strategic use of their hiatus for solo development, combined with preserving group identity through anniversary celebrations, demonstrates sophisticated career management.
As June 2025 approaches, the convergence of military discharges, anniversary celebrations, and solo tours creates unprecedented momentum for what many consider the most anticipated reunion in K-pop history. While HYBE has confirmed plans for "full group activities in 2025," projections suggest a complete comeback in the second half of 2025, with world tour resumption anticipated for 2026.
The world watches as BTS prepares to reclaim their position, not just as the group that conquered global charts, but as seven individual artists who have grown and evolved, ready to redefine their legacy in the music industry.
