AdBlock Plus protects the Asus Android smartphones from annoying ads that might have malware, according to the News Independent.

Asus and Eyeo GMBH have revealed the AdBlock Plus with their new partnership to make sure that the Android tables and smartphones will be free from annoying ads. The new series of products from Asus that will be out this coming early 2016 will have AdBlock Plus pre-installed already. It will also be pre-activated in the Asus browser. The mobile devices of Asus will be pre-loaded with the company's proprietary browser and will be protected with an ad-blocking feature.

AdBlock Plus can protect the Asus Android smartphones from ads, but it will allow legitimate ones to slip in, according to Bidness Etc. This is to allow revenue streams of proper websites. A lot of games and apps are free because of the ads. Ads generate enough revenue to fund these free apps, so it is better for legitimate ones to slip in and filter out those that can cause harm.

Eyeo GMBH's CEO and co-founder Till Faida has expressed her gratitude at the partnership move with a major hardware manufacturer like Asus. Asus is also the first one to have incorporated ad-blocking into its devices. He believes that the industry of ads needs better innovation and this move is the first step for it.

Asus smartphone owners will not worry about getting annoying ads on their browsers as long as they use the Asus web browser that comes with the phone, according to EMQ Tech. This will be a new change for the Android users since some of them have already been accustomed to the Chrome browser which is available on Windows and also on Android phones.

Around 15 million users have already signed up for the AdBlock Plus for Asus Android smartphones, according to The Indian Express. It could become another option aside from the usual Chrome and Firefox browsers that most net surfers would use.
