Tech-mobile aficionados and consumers alike may well have acquired new iPhones after the holidays. As such, recent reports have revealed several iPhone apps for sale that were made available for free in order to help new Apple users cope up with the new iOS9, according to sources.

iPhone apps that are paid usually go on sale but during the holidays, numerous iPhone apps were made available for free, even if it weren't made clear how long these apps were made available for free to its users, according to BGR.

The first on the source's list was the iPhone app PikUp Pro, an iPhone app that sold for $1.99, is now free. This iPhone app helps back up photos on Facebook, download photos and saving them on devices or clouds, and keeping the same photo quality as your social media photos, courtesy of the source.

Next on their list is Agenda: Widget+, an iPhone app that sells for $0.99, that further improves the convenience of using the iOS 9's calendar by displaying upcoming events in the widget, visibility settings per each calendar, number of events and range filter settings, and displaying details of events that are customizable, courtesy of BGR.

A lot more paid apps made free can be seen on the App Store.

However, for consumers who just got their newly acquired iPhones and are just starting with the new iOS 9, there are a few essential apps that were listed courtesy of Mac World.

Aside from the essential well-known apps, such as Google Maps and Citymapper, Dark Sky was mentioned in the source's list as a must have for consumers who just got an iPhone. The app keeps users alerted with highly accurate, hyper-local forecasts, with customizable alerts. Dark Sky sells for $3.99, according to the source.

Another essential iPhone app that's free and is a must-have is Cheatsheet. This app helps new users of the iOS 9 help remember the assortment of information they have to always remember, such as access codes, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like, courtesy of Mac World.

Another essential app that new iPhone owners and iOS 9 users must have is Find My iPhone, a free app which helps set up a remote wipe for your phone in case it gets stolen or just mistakenly gets lost, as stated by USA Today.
