It has been reported that the latest movie of the franchise's iconic saga, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," has earned a box office hit of $40.1 million solely on its first weekday, which obliterated the 10-year Monday record held by the movie "Spider-Man 2" at $27.7 million, as stated by Forbes.
The J.J. Abram's movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has also garnered itself numerous box office records when it reached its global cumulative audience to $610.1 million worldwide and becoming the 102nd biggest movie to gross of all time worldwide and the 68th largest grossing movie in the US, courtesy of the source.

In recent news, it was reported that a 22-year old New Jersey man, Jesse Carol, was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree public false alarms when he forced a Freehold movie theater to be evacuated twice due to false bomb threats, which at that time included a screening of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on Friday morning, according to NBC New York.
In addition, an 18-year old Montana man, Arthur Charles Roy, was arrested and charged with felony assault with a weapon when he threatened to shoot a boy for spoiling a subplot in the movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" during an online conversation, where he then sent a photo of him brandishing a Colt 191 gun with a "hair trigger" that was claimed by his mother to be a BB gun, as reported by Fox News.
