'Godzilla 2' Monsters And Release Date Confirmed! Japan's Toho Unveils Poster For Their Latest Reboot

"Godzilla: Resurgence" trailer has been revealed by Japanese company, according to HighSnobiety.

"Godzilla" is a giant monster resembling a big T-Rex dinosaur. The film series was first produced by Toho, a Japanese company. It became a sensation in the Japanese film industry and 28 films were produced with the monster as its star. It became a worldwide pop culture icon. It appeared in media, video games, novels, comic books, TV shows and many more. "Godzilla" is often called the "King of the Monsters." There were two Hollywood films about the monster.

Toho produced their last "Godzilla" movie in 2004 and an American adaptation followed a few years later. This was produced by Gareth Edwards and became a huge success. There is also a sequel coming up and it should be released in two to three years. The Toho Company saw this as an opportunity to release its own version of "Godzilla."

The "Godzilla: Resurgence" trailer can be viewed below.

The movie teaser trailer has a similar style to American films like "Cloverfield" and "The Blair Witch Project," which is the found footage film style, according to Fansided. These types of films have become popular for horror movies lately since it gives the perspective of a person who has been there in the situation and holding the camera all the time.

The fans of the 2018 sequel will have to wait, according to Movie Pilot. This Japanese version might satisfy "Godzilla" fans in the meantime. "Godzilla: Resurgence" will be directed by Hideaki Anno and co-directed by Shinji Higuchi. Since the Toho Company will be producing this new "Godzilla" movie, it might have its original features since the company created this monster film in the first place.

While the "Godzilla: Resurgence" has been released today, the movie will be released through Japan cinemas on July 29, 2016. There are no details of an international release.
