Taylor Swift has copyright infringement issues to deal with and most recently, the singer has been accused of wrongfully using an artist's work to promote "1989" by painter, Ally Burguieres, according to BBC.

The singer posted a watercolor depiction of a fox made by a fan in 2014. The picture was alongside they lyrics of a song from her "1989" album, "I Know Places," revealed Cosmopolitan.

Burguieres learned that her painting had been appropriated, she asked for it to be removed and Swift complied. The visual artist created the fox image and sells it for $45 a copy.

"After months of effort, I received an offer from you and your team that mentions no credit to me as the artist of the design, but does include payment of a 'four-figure' amount, with the stipulation that I must donate it all," wrote Burguieres in an open letter to Swift, which the artist posted on Facebook.

Burguieres later clarified this to RollingStone.com and said that her lawyer alleged that Swift's lawyer wanted her to donate only "some" of the fee to animal causes.

"There was no requirement of a contribution to any charity," wrote Swift's rep in a statement.

Taylor Swift's representatives claim that Burguieres is seeking publicity and has been more than fairly compensated. They also added that the singer just shared her piece of work.

"Notwithstanding the huge publicity this has generated for Ms Burguieres and her store, in early November, Ms Swift's office made a fair offer of payment well above a reasonable licensing fee for the short time that the fan art was posted online," told the representative to Rolling Stone.

This row over the painting is the latest in a line of recent legal and copyright infringement issues involving Taylor Swift.

The singer paid an undisclosed amount to a US clothing company last month, as a settlement over a legal dispute.

Recently, a judge threw out US R&B singer, Jesse Braham's claim that Swift copied the words from his 2013 song called, "Haters Gone Hate."

In October, Swift filed a counterclaim against a radio DJ who is suing her because of allegations that he groped her backstage at a June 2013 concert.
