Cate Blanchett Confirmed For ‘Thor: Ragnarok?’ Actress In Between Negotiations?
Cate Blanchett might be taking a female role in the upcoming Marvel movie, "Thor: Ragnarok," according to the Daily Mail.
Recently, it was rumored that "Thor 3: Ragnarok" will have a new female villain who will fight Thor. Amidst those rumors, it was also said that the female villain might turn into a new superhero for the Marvel Movie Universe. Many sites speculate that there are numerous candidates for the female role like Amora the Enchantress and Knorda the queen of the mountain giants. One of the common speculations was the introduction of the Valkyries, specifically Brunnhilde.
Today, it was reported that Cate Blanchett might be taking on that female role. She is now in talks with the Marvel heads to star in the upcoming movie. There were also rumors that other actresses were up for the female role like Charlize Theron, Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt.
Nobody has been able to get a confirmation from Marvel that Blanchett has been taken, according to Slash Film. This means that she has not officially signed the deal yet.
