South Korea's Incheon International Airport was hailed as the world's best airport for the 10th straight year, officials announced Thursday.

Global Traveler (GT), a United States-based magazine for business travelers, reported that Incheon International Airport was given the 2015 GT Tested Reader Survey Award as one the best airport in the industry.

Yonhap News noted Thursday that said airport has held the title for the 10th consecutive year, as revealed by the Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC).

"It means that huge numbers of travelers from the world had Incheon airport in mind when they thought of the best airport in the world," IIAC chief Park Wan Soo said. "We will make more efforts to guarantee we can satisfy our clients with the best facilities and services."

Meanwhile, Singapore's Changi International Airport placed second, followed by Germany's Munich Airport in third.

The Global Traveler's survey has spanned 11 years since its inception in 2004. This year, GT conducted surveys on more than 80 categories under airlines, hotels and other travel-related categories. Over 22,000 respondents participated in the survey that was conducted from January to September.

According to Focus Taiwan, Taiwan's largest carrier, China Airlines, was also named the "Best Airline in North Asia" for the third year in a row. The airline company was also listed as having the "Best Business-Class Seat Design" and "Best Flight Attendant Uniforms"

Singapore Airlines was the world's "best airline" and "best airline for business class."

United Airlines was also hailed the best trans-Pacific airline.

Incheon International Airport is South Korea's primary gateway to the rest of the world.
