‘Pokken Tournament’ Wii U Roster Gets New Character; Game Launches Next Year!
"Pokken Tournament" Wii U roster has been increased with the new character introduced to the lineup, according to Gamespot.
The "Pokken Tournament" is an arcade fighting game. It is developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game uses the features of the "Tekken" game franchise and the characters of the "Pokemon" franchise. It was released first for Japanse arcades on July 16, 2015.
In addition, the game was first revealed in 2014 for Japanese arcades. The development of the game project is overseen by the veteran game producer Katsuhiro Harada. The goal of the game is to make all "Pokemon" fans like it, according to Harada.
"Whether you are a causal player, a regular player, or a hardcore player, anyone who likes Pokemon can have fun," Harada said.
The "Pokken Tournament" Wii U roster has been increasing for a while now with new characters for the game. Today, a new character has been introduced and it confirms that a grass-type "Pokemon" has entered the fray. The "Pokemon" Sceptile has joined the playable character roster in the game.

Sceptile will be joining the roster of the "Pokken Tournament," according to Gematsu. The roster already contains Lucario, Machamp, Suicune, Gardevoir, Pikachu, Gengar, Weavile, Charizard, Blaziken, Pikachu Libre and Shadow Mewtwo.
The gameplay trailer also confirms that there are two new support "Pokemons", which are Electrode and Farfetch'd, according to Polygon.
In addition, "Pokken Tournament" is currently playable in Japanese arcades and at select Dave and Buster's locations in the US. The arcade has gained a lot of praise lately due to the combination of "Tekken" gameplay and "Pokemon" characters.
There are no details if there will be new characters to be added to the "Pokken Tournament" Wii U roster in the future. The game will be out for Wii U on March 18, 2016 in Japan. North America and Europe will get it on spring 2016.
