Annual Gaming Industry Conference E3 Takes Place In Los Angeles

Ubisoft's "Eagle Flight" prototype demo at E3 will now become a full VR title, according to PC Gamer.

Ubisoft has developed many triple A games from the past like the "Assassin's Creed' game franchise, the "Far Cry" series and much more. A new game in development makes many of the fans eager to find out what the game company is doing next. This time around it was a game that uses new technology that many companies are introducing right now. One of those companies is Sony Entertainment, and that new technology is Virtual Technology.

Ubisoft's "Eagle Flight" was one of the virtual reality games to try out at E3 and it was a prototype from the game company. Many testers were impressed with its VR gameplay, which many believe prompted Ubisoft to make a full game.

The game's reveal trailer can be viewed below.

The game allows players to become an eagle that will fly over Paris, France, according to IGN. The setting will be fifty years after humans have left the city. The game has a single-player mode and also a two multiplayer mode. It can also go up to six players.

"Eagle Flight has been developed specifically for VR with a strong focus on accessibility and comfort," said Ubisoft in a statement. "As a result, the game features an Ubisoft-developed VR control technology breakthrough that provides players with intuitive and precise controls."

"The new technology greatly reduces chances of motion sickness while enabling players to quickly master their skills in order to perform impressive stunts and experience the true sensation of flight," continued the statement.

The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal's FunHouse division. The game will have the complete version of Paris with famous landmarks, according to Gamespot.

Some game websites have concerns that virtual reality in general can make players sick. Ubisoft clarifies that this should not be the case for Ubisoft's "Eagle Flight." The studio says it is thanks to the use of "technology breakthroughs."

"Eagle Flight" will be available next year on PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
