‘Final Fantasy 7 Remake’ Be Told In Episodes; New Gameplay Trailer Released!
"Final Fantasy 7 Remake" statement suggests that the game will be told in episodes, according to Kotaku.
"Final Fantasy 7" was one of the most iconic games in the history of video games. Although it was first released for PlayStation One, it had the best 3D graphics at that time. The game gained a lot of fans from all over the world. Also from the game, different spin-offs and movies were created like "Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children."
In addition, there were also rumors that the game would be remade and have better visual graphics than the original. A few months ago at the E3 event, Square Enix confirmed of the remake. There was no official announcement after that.
Today, a new game trailer of the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" was shown at the recent PSX event. Sony unveiled the trailer during the event that shows different features. Fans can watch the game trailer below.
The game trailer showed the new footage of Midgar and how the environment will look like. It also featured how the combat would be which is now an action-based rather than the original turn-based. The cutscenes looked better too, which featured, Barret Wallace, Cloud Strife, Biggs and Wedge.
Later, there was a new press release from Square Enix which seemed to say that the remake will be episodic, according to Destructoid.
"Final Fantasy VII Remake will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience," stated the Square Enix press release.
The press release did not give any other specifics beyond that, according to Gamespot. There is no official clarification from the company right now so no other game site really knows when the first part will be released, how much will the episodes cost and how frequently will the episodes will be released.
A tweet from Takashi Mochizuki of The Wall Street Journal apparently explains why "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" might be split into several episodes. The tweet can be read below.
