"Far Cry Primal" is an upcoming video game with a genre of action-adventure. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The game is set during the beginning of the Mesolithic period in the fictional land of Oros. Players can train wild animals like a mammoth or even a saber-toothed cat.
Ubisoft unveiled the "Far Cry Primal" gameplay video during this year's Game Awards event a few days ago. The video can be viewed below.
The "Far Cry Primar" gameplay trailer shows the role of Takkar and his ability of taming beasts, according to Cinema Blend. He becomes a beast tamer that asks assistance from his tamed animals to finish the missions, attack enemies and hunt other wild animals.
"Far Cry Primal" will have a different approach than the usual gameplay of the "Far Cry" game franchise, but also retains some of it, according to PlayStationLifeStyle.net. It will still have the basic gameplay elements of the "Far Cry" game franchise but instead of using guns, chainsaws and other modern weapons, the protagonist will now wield primitive weapons like prehistoric spears.
In addition, the enemies will not be specific enemies anymore. Players will now have to engage animals roaming around the game's environment and also fight other tribesmen, looking for game to hunt or just guarding their territories. Compared to the usual "Far Cry" gameplay, "Primal" is more on the primitive battles.
Another feature that appealed to the fans is the ability to tame wild animals, according to Polygon. Players can tame different animals which also have different abilities. The wild bear has brute strength, the saber-toothed cat had speed and much more. Players will have a different feel with this type of gameplay to try out.
"Far Cry Primal" is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Feb. 23, 2016. The PC version will arrive March 1, 2016.
