Netflix dropped the official trailer for BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG on March 5 - and within hours, a single shot of Jimin had taken over the internet.

The clip, which previews BTS's March 21 comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, gives each member a brief appearance against the Gyeongbokgung Palace backdrop. Jimin's scene is just seconds long: golden hair under soft lighting, head tilted slightly, holding the camera's gaze without expression. That was enough. Fans flooded X and YouTube comments with reactions ranging from "his eyes are the whole concept" to "already the main character and he hasn't said a word." The moment quickly became one of the most-clipped sequences from the trailer.

It's a familiar dynamic for anyone who has watched Jimin work. His ability to dominate a frame without doing much - the stillness, the precision - is something fans and critics have noted throughout his career. This teaser leaned into it completely.

The broader trailer is an emotional retrospective, opening with archival footage of fan reactions to BTS's 2022 hiatus before cutting to the members themselves. "We promised our fans that we'd be back," RM says in voiceover. The concert on March 21 marks the first time all seven have performed together since completing South Korea's mandatory military service - the last to finish was Suga, discharged on June 21, 2025.

For Jimin, ARIRANG is also a chance to show what he's brought back from two years of solo work. He holds writing credits on two of the album's 14 tracks: "they don't know 'bout us" and the closing track "Into the Sun," the latter co-written with V. It's a natural continuation - his debut solo album FACE (2023) and follow-up MUSE (2024) both debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, establishing him as a legitimate solo force before the group even reconvened.

ARIRANG drops March 20 via Big Hit Music. The Netflix concert follows March 21 at 8 p.m. KST, with documentary BTS: THE RETURN - directed by Bao Nguyen - arriving on the platform March 27.
