Cortana Power BI System To Answer Business Queries In A 'Natural Way;' New Features Explained!
Microsoft announced that Cortana voice system personal assistant is now equipped with a business tool.
Group Program Manager of Cortana, Marcus Ash, said that, "Today, we're excited to announce that Cortana gets even better with a connection to Microsoft's Power BI," according to a post in Windows Blog.
Cortana will be integrated into a Power BI program, a business tool that has a natural language inquiry functionality. The app will be available for desktops and is capable to answer business queries, according to Tech Crunch.
Cortana recently released beta version works with third-party programs like Microsoft Office 365 and LinkedIn . Microsoft wants to enhance Cortana with the use of the company's Power BI connection.
The Cortana Power BI system will allow users to have direct answers from the voice integrated personal assistant in terms of business related data. Cortana's Power BI system gives the system's capability to deliver a dynamic, helpful and natural answers.
Power BI's functionality includes data searching capability for answers from simple numerical commands like "revenue for the last quarter," display charts using "number of opportunities by team," show a map with a command "average customer spending in California by city" and full business reports.
Cortana also has a new Quick Insight feature that runs different types of Algorithm from data delivered into the system to provide users efficient searching of information as well as tracking it.
Microsoft's Power BI has a new template for desktop, which is the same size of Cortana's window interface and requires a Windows 10 to fully function.
Administrators can fully utilize Cortana's Power BI functionality by selecting a data source from an SQL database in Power BI and grant the voice personal assistant's access. Once it's successful Cortana will be able to access business data stored in Power BI and provide answers to any user, according to Computer World.
