Last week's "One Piece" manga chapter 808 finally got released, and readers finally saw the mysterious "Jack," an ancient Zoan mammoth, according to MyAnimeList. The release of the chapter to "scanalating" sites was in peril when four people related to the website MangaPanda were arrested last Nov. 13.

Jack is revealed to bear the moniker, "The Drought," because of the kind of calamity he brings to wherever he attacks. MyAnimeList commenter "bkim999" points out that "judging from his past silhouette appearances before this, I can assume to confirm that Jack is an Ancient Zoan user."

Ancient Zoans are some of the rarest devil fruit users in the manga, with Jack only the second one to appear, according to sources.

It was also revealed on "One Piece" manga chapter 808 that Jack used Caesar's poison gas to defeat the Minks. This says a lot about the Minks' fighting power, as commenter "ShichiDrewKai" puts it, "the whole drought thing only seems to happen because of Caesar's weapon," in a One Piece Bay discussion thread. But Jack is still the second-in-command of one of the Four Emperors, putting him alongside the top pirates of the "One Piece" world.

But a timely "free" release of the "One Piece" manga chapter 808 almost didn't happen. Four people involved with scanalating website MangaPanda were arrested by Kyoto Prefectural Police's Anti-Cybercrime Department, according to One Piece Podcast.

Scanalators scan and translate Japanese manga, and upload them on ad-driven websites like MangaPanda. It is a form of piracy, but has been one of the most common ways to keep updated with serialized content like "One Piece."

One of the four suspects works directly for a distribution company. The 69 year-old Japanese man was responsible for acquiring copies early, extracting magazines from the printing company, which he then passes to the others for scanning and translation. His three accomplices were all from China, and were the ones running the website, as reported by One Piece Podcast.
