BTS Member J-Hope Reported Be Enlisted for Military Service on April 18
A media outlet reported on Thursday, April 13 KST that BTS member J-Hope is scheduled to start his basic training on April 18. In order to get this training, the singer is enlisted for the New Recruit Training Center Division A in Gangwon-do. He will be the second BTS member to start his mandatory military service.
As of press time, a representative of Big Hit Music released a statement to the said report saying "Please understand that it is difficult to confirm j-hope's enlistment date and location."
The said training will last for 5 weeks, which will then proceed to permanent post as an active duty recruit.
Earlier this week, J-Hope told fans that he would not be enlisting himself this week, and hinted to fans of a planned live broadcast.
The first BTS member enlisted for Military Service is Jin who started on December 13, 2022. He was recently promoted to Private First Class.
