IVE, NewJeans Join BLACKPINK, Girls' Generation, and TWICE As Top K-Pop Girl Groups For October
The top K-Pop girl groups for the month of October has been released and we are seeing fourth-generation rising acts side-by-side with iconic names like BLACKPINK, Girls' Generation, and TWICE.
Based on the analysis of the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation, BLACKPINK took the first spot as the K-Pop girl group with the highest brand value for the month of October. The YG Entertainment girl group scored a brand index of 7,170,250 which is 14.6% higher than their index in September. The "SHUT DOWN" singer just recently commenced it "BORN PINK" world tour.
#2 GIRLS' GENERATION
Despite seeing a 25.4% dip in their brand reputation index, SM Entertainment's Girls' Generation secured the second place. The K-Pop icons scored an index of 4,267,366 for October.
Placing third this month is no other than Starship's rising "IT" girl group IVE. Led by two former IZ*ONE members, Wonyoung and Yujin, IVE scored a brand index of 4,143,670.
The "Talk The Talk" singer took the fourth spot with a brand reputation index of 4,049,033. Just like IVE and Girls' Generation, TWICE saw a dip in its brand index. Nevertheless, the JYP Entertainment girl group remains to be relevant sevenn years into its career.
From a sixth place finish last month, NewJeans broke into this month's top five. NewJeans is getting all the "Attention" and in fact saw a 10.73% increase in brand index from September. This month, NewJean's scored a brand index of 3,165,030.
