It was then reported by media outlets that BLACKPINK's Jennie was offered a role on the upcoming HBO series entitled "The Idol." The show was co-created by singer-songwriter The Weeknd, Sam Levinson of "Euphoria," and Reza Fahim.

As per recent reports, BLACKPINK's Jennie has officially accepted the role. This is evident as she was seen in the official trailer released just recently.
In the short parts that she was seen BLACKPINK's Jennie appeared in "The Idol" trailer, and she immediately made a significant impact. This was seen as the idol shared the screen with stars such as The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, and Troye Sivan.
Jennie's role will make the BLACKPINK member the first K-Pop idol to debut in a series on HBO. "The Idol" is about an up-and-coming pop star, who is played by Lily-Rose Depp. It shows that Jennie could be playing a dancer.
"'The Idol' is set against the backdrop of the music industry, and centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol," Variety revealed.
The HBO show is scheduled to drop this year and is expected to be a hit due to its star-studded cast.
