When Passion Meets Burnout: GOT7’s Jinyoung Admits He Almost Gave Up On The Industry
The members of GOT7 have started a new chapter in their lives and it seems like one particular member has seen a recent amount of growth.
Since parting ways with JYP Entertainment, Jinyoung has focused more on acting. In a recent interview with GQ Australia, Jinyoung talked about a recent major personal shift. The actor shared that he was previously quiet and stern. Thus, this lead his fellow members to feel uncomfortable around him.
As per journalist Taylor Glasby, "Jinyoung was unhappy, he estimates, 60-70% of the time." It even caused him to consider leaving the entertainment industry. Still, he chose to stay. Glasby shared Jinyoung's reasons for staying, saying, "He wanted to leave the industry but stayed knowing how much people believed in him - his fans, family, his members. People liked him, but, he laughs, people like him much more now."

Notably, GOT7's Jinyoung is now more happy and comfortable, to the delight of Ahgases.
GOT7's Jinyoung shared, "By 2021, I felt so uncomfortable with my personality. It wasn't anyone's fault, it was about me and the way I looked at the world. I'd always blamed others - why did they do this or that? - and thought I wasn't the problem, they were. But looking at myself in an unbiased way, I felt like, 'I'm not perfect, I have my own flaws'. And when I realized that, I realized I had to change. This team promotion, it's such a period of happiness for me because now I know how to act toward the members. I feel more comfortable."
Due to this, during GOT7's recent comeback, Jinyoung was more active and lively. In the boy group's comeback show "Come and get it, GOT7!" on NAVER NOW, the actor volunteered to play games and challenges (some even embarrassing) to make Ahgases happy.
"For this team promotion, it's such a period of happiness for me because now I know how to act towards the members. I feel more comfortable," GOT7's Jinyoung expressed.

Adding to this, during a segment of the show, Jinyoung was asked to share a TMI regarding concerns about his acting. The GOT7 member shocked his members when he expressed, "I have no concerns."
Fans are happy that Jinyoung has recently accepted a more extroverted side.
