Jung Ho Yeon’s Stunning Black Custom Louis Vuitton Gown Took Over 300 Hours To Make?
At the "28th Screen Actors Guild Awards ( SAG ) Awards" held in Santa Monica, California, USA, the Netflix Korean drama "Squid Game" took home 3 awards, making it the most awarded series of the night.
Jung Ho Yeon and Lee Jung Jae were selected as the winners of the Best Actress Award and the Best Actor Award in the TV drama category, respectively. Prior to this "Squid Game" also won the TV Drama Stunts Ensemble Award.
In particular, Lee Jung Jae's win is the first time that a non-English-speaking drama actor has won an acting award at the SAG Awards.
During the Screen Actors Guild's awards ceremony, a lot of attention was paid to the stunning gown worn by actress Jung Ho Yeon.
Since October of last year, Jung Ho Yeon has been working as a global ambassador for the French luxury brand Louis Vuitton.
For the awards ceremony, Louis Vuitton made a custom piece for Jung Ho Yeon.
"Squid Game" actress Jeong Ho Yeon attended the SAG awards ceremony wearing a custom-made black color dress which adds a neutral charm to Jung Ho Yeon's characteristic skinny body. The dress is handcrafted with silver beads and crystals on black jacquard silk. Embroidery features a geometric design that naturally falls from the top of the dress down. Embroidered braids were applied to the edges of the dress. The pockets are embroidered with tulle and silver metal thread.
According to Louis Vuitton, it took a total of 210 hours to make the dress, and an additional 110 hours just to place the crystals and silver beads and embroider it. The custom-made hairpiece was said to have been made in the workshop of the Louis Vuitton Paris Vendôme Maison.
Meanwhile, the SAG Award is the largest actors association in the United States, with about 160,000 members including movie stars and stuntmen. Last year, actress Yoon Yeo Jeong of the movie "Minari" won the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Category.
