Lenovo Razer Gaming Computer Release Date Confirmed; 12 Million Gamers To Help In Research?
Big companies, Lenovo and Razer announced their new team up in developing a Razer Edition Lenovo computer on Nov.27.
A preview of Lenovo and Razer's gaming computer prototype was first shown in Sweden during the Dreamhack Winter LAN party together with the announcement and is still under development. Two companies have revealed their plans in extending their partnership for future product development and have initially released the Y desktop series in September during IFA.
Razer Edition Lenovo gaming computer has similar features with the Y series desktops that has a redesigned accent color from red to green, the color Razer is known for. This project will be the start for Lenovo in gaming industry however, it concerns the Chinese company about the gamers review in technological concept.
Director of Razer's product marketing, Kevin Sather said that, they have connections with about 12 million gamers that will help Lenovo's research with regards to the gaming computer's design, according to Venture Beat.
Victor Rios of Lenovo said that, gaming environment is "one area of the PC market that's actually growing," reported The Verge. "And for us, what's also been exciting, is that it's relatively stable," Rios added.
Lenovo wants to lead the market beyond what is trending and believes that their collaboration with Razer will provide a "unique DNA" to manufacture a powerful gaming computer including performance and space.
CEO Min-Liang Tan of Razer said that, "Lenovo is the world's #1 PC maker. Razer is the world's #1 gaming lifestyle brand," according to PCWorld.
Razer still maintains their tagline, "by gamers, for gamers" as they improve their specialty in creating gaming computer software like Chroma together with their own customers as well as Lenovo's.
Considering their rank in business, Lenovo and Razer will stick to the growing industry of PC gaming computer hardware since it has a potential of higher revenue and sales. As of the moment, Lenovo has over 60,000 employees while Razer has 500.
Lenovo was asked about acquiring Razer, Rios answered, "In everything they do, it is for gamers," reported by Venture Beat. "Our focus now is on partnership," the statement continued.
Razer Edition Lenovo gaming PCs will be first available in the market in January 2016 at CES, Las Vegas and either of the computer manufacturing companies have revealed its specifications.
