Menopause is no stranger to women's search boxes. Well, that's because it is a natural occurrence that will eventually happen to all women.

Usually, menopause begins in the late 40s or early 50s for most women and lasts for a few years.

During menopause, at least two-thirds of women experience symptoms that might include hot flashes, mood swings, night sweats, tiredness, vaginal dryness, sleeping problems, weight gain, loss of breast fullness, and irritability.

Additionally, some women can be at a higher risk of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and osteoporosis during menopause.

The symptoms of menopause can be very uncomfortable, so we listed some natural options that you can try to ease your struggle.

First, achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

Due to changing hormones, lifestyle, genetics, and other factors, it is common to gain weight during menopause. Studies suggest that body weight can alleviate symptoms associated with menopause especially hot flashes and night sweats.

Drink enough water.

We can't stress this enough, staying hydrated can make wonders in our body. Oftentimes, women experience dryness and bloating during menopause, and drinking enough water daily can help with these symptoms. Aside from this, water can also help in maintaining a healthy weight as some studies suggest it can increase metabolism slightly.

Eat more foods that are rich in phytoestrogens.

Various studies have pointed out that consuming foods rich in phytoestrogens were associated with reduced severity of hot flashes and night sweats especially among women who are just entering menopause. Supplements containing naturally-derived phytoestrogens can also help in maintaining healthy estrogen levels in menopausal women.

Take natural supplements.

Going through menopause can be quite stressful. Symptoms such as hot flashes and night flashes can be uncomfortable. For these reasons, women in their menopausal stage are often moody and irritable and we can't blame them.

Supplements sourced from natural ingredients such as black cohosh, magnolia bark, green tea, and yerba mate can help in managing hot flashes, stress, irritability, and even boost energy among women in menopause. Just make sure to choose a supplement that is safe, drug-free, and hormone-free.
