Huawei Mate 8 Specs And Price Revealed!; Will It Beat Samsung Galaxy Note 5?
Huawei has revealed Mate 8's specifications on Thanksgiving Day and is already compared to Samsung devices.
Huawei's Mate 8 phablet specifications include Andoroid's latest developed Operation System, 6.0 Marshmallow along with the company's own interface called Huawei Emotion 4.0, according to sources.
The Mate 8 is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa-core processor that is composed of 1.8GHz Cortex A53 and 2.3GHz Cortex A72 chips.
Its memory specifications will give the users 3GB of RAM and the phone also comes with either 32GB, 64GB or 128GB variety. The Huawei Mate 8's 6 inches screen is made up of LCD with 1080p high definition resolution.
The Huawei's Mate 8 has a Sony snapper 16-megapixel rear camera that has an optical image stabilization and f/2.0 aperture while the front facing one is a Sony job 8-megapixel made to produce good quality self-captured photos and video calls, according to CNET.
Reviewers believe that the Sony camera that is equipped to the Huawei Mate 8 has the lowest specification and might cause low light issues with regards to having a 16 megapixel rear camera for a 6 inches sized screen and has an estimated pixel size of 1.12 micron, according to Phone Arena.
The Huawei Mate 8's specifications also include a dual SIM capability, a 4G LTE connectivity and a 4,000mAh battery. The phablet has a fingerprint security sensor located below the main camera at the back of the phone and is capable of quick charging.
This phone is first to set release in China and comes in Space Gray, Mocha Brown, Moonlight Silver and Champagne Gold variety, according to Android Headlines.
Huawei Mate 8's release date will be in January 2016, which the company will release 32GB variant for $469, 64GB for $579 and 128GB that costs $689. The phone will be available for the U.S market next year however, the company hasn't released any statement for the official date, according to Mashable.
The Huawei Mate 8 is the successor to Mate 7 and has been compared to its rival smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Google Nexus 6 because of its specifications.
The new Huawei smartphone competes with Samsung devices in terms of the rival company's mishaps such as having built-in batteries and removing the microSD slot capability from its phablets. Huawei's Mate 8 phablet also has a built-in 4000 mAh battery but unlike Samsung, it does include a microSD slot capability, according to Forbes.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 only comes with 64 GB variant while Mate 8 offers 128 GB internal memory along with an external memory functionality.
The Note 5 is powered by Android Lollipop that is soon upgradable to Marshmallow, which the Mate 8 already has. The Huawei Mate 8 is also cheaper than Samsung Galaxy Note 5 considering its competitive specifications, according to the reviews, reported by Tech Times.
