If BLACKPINK Lisa is made the ambassador for Thai tourism, it will be another achievement added to her many endorsements.

Since the debut of BLACKPINK, Lisa has endorsed major brands such as Samsung, Celine, MAC Cosmetics, AIS which is a Thai phone network, and many more!

BLACKPINK Lisa's solo debut with "LALISA" recently became a global sensation!

Following this, BLACKPINK's Lisa was featured on the Thai talk show "Woody Show" to talk about her solo debut. Notably, though, Lisa revealed in the interview that her favorite food is 'yuen kim meatballs' which is found in her hometown of Buriram, Thailand.

Due to BLACKPINK Lisa's comments, locals and tourists swarmed to Buriram Train Station to buy meatballs from the vendors, along with the special sauce BLACKPINK Lisa loves.

"This is unprecedented and business is even better than pre-COVID-19," Tourism Industry Council president Bordin Ruengsuksriwong noted.

Thailand government spokesperson, Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana further expressed, "Gen Prayut admires success of Thai artists including individuals whose works reflect their dedication and determination to inspire many Thais in creative industries in arts, music and films.

Thus, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) is urging the Thai government to take action, wanting BLACKPINK's Lisa to become the official ambassador of Thailand's tourism industry.

Supant Mongkolsuthree, FTI Chairman, added, "If successful, this will be extremely advantageous to Thailand." The chairman has even thoroughly thought about a plan, telling the government that they have to negotiate with YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's label, first.

Not long after Supant Mongkolsuthree explained that Thailand needs to better use its 'strengths in culture and tourism', Rida Srilomsak, who is the FTI Head of Creative Handicraft, went on to agree that the Thai government needs to use innovative ideas to promote the country.
