BTS X Coldplay 'My Universe' Ranks No. 1 On The Billboards Chart, Breaks Record On Its First Week
BTS and Coldplay are finding themselves on top of the world recently, it has been revealed that the song they worked on together, 'My Universe' has reached no. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, a feat not easily reached by many.
Through their collaboration as well, BTS and Coldplay broke a record on the U.S. Billboard Chart. According to Billboard, this is the first collaboration by two lead groups that has reached no. 1.
Obviously, this would not be possible without the support of BTS's fans, the Army, and Coldplay fans. It is also good to note that BTS are big fans of the seasoned band. Both bands have taken to Twitter to air out their thanks to the millions of fans that supported them by streaming the song and buying it.

Coldplay was the first to go on Twitter and upload their congratulatory and thank you message. In the caption for their tweet, they thanked the BTS group members and signed it with 'C, G, W, J, & P", which stand for Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, and creative director Phil Harvey. BTS then replied to Coldplay, also putting their signature, 'R, J, S, H, J, J, V', which mean RM, Jin, Suga, Hoseok (J-Hope), Jimin, Jungkook, and V.

This is actually the second single of Coldplay's that reached no. 1 on the U.S. Billboards Hot 100, and the sixth for BTS in a span of a year. This is groundbreaking news for BTS as the only band to be able to do this is the legendary British band, The Beatles. Sooner or later the band will be able to break this record as well.
Billboard also revealed that 'My Universe' by BTS and Coldplay debuted at No. 1, with 11.5 million U.S. streams, 5.5. million radio airplay audience impressions and 127,000 downloads sold in its first week.
