Netizens Excited As Somi Confirmed To Release A Comeback On The 2nd Of August
Finally, one year since her previous musical release, Somi is finally making her long-awaited and highly-anticipated return!
Earlier in May, former I.O.I members gathered to celebrate the K-pop girl group's 5th anniversary and a plethora of topics were noted. Among them was Jeon Somi's recent activities and hopes for releasing a comeback soon.
In the reunion, Somi revealed that she has felt empty without the other I.O.I members while doing her solo activities. Thus, for Somi, she sadly had her heartbroken when I.O.I disbanded, but she has also been keeping herself busy.
As per Jeon Somi, she has been busy meditating in her free time alongside burning incense. Somi also revealed that she has been enjoying photography, especially with her film camera.
To add to that, Somi shared that she has been exercising, doing pilates, and other workouts with her personal trainer. Furthermore, in the I.O.I reunion, Jeon Somi also mentioned she has been "preparing an album," confirming her releasing a comeback very soon.
Now, after two months have passed since the reunion and a year since Somi dropped a musical release, it has finally been confirmed that Somi is slated to return as she is dropping a comeback this August.
As of writing this article, yesterday on the 14th of July, Somi's agency, The Black Label, noted, "Jeon Somi is releasing a new album on August 2."
Notably, this will be Somi's first comeback in a year since her hit "What You Waiting For." Somi previously topped charts and garnered awards with her musical release and fans are expecting nothing less for her upcoming solo comeback which is happening in less than a month!
