Rachel Zegler Cast As Snow White In Live Action Film +Actress Shuts Down Racist Netizens

Are you ready, Disney buffs? The very first Disney Princess has finally been cast for Disney's live-action "Snow White" film. But it seems as though there are some netizens who are opposed to the casting.

Just very recently, it was announced that Rachel Zegler (popular for "West Side Story") has been given the titular role of Snow White in Disney's live-action remake of their first-ever movie which also stars their first-ever Disney princess.

With this news, Disney fans, both casual and hardcore, were ecstatic with the casting as Zegler is known to be a well-rounded actress and singer. Rachel Zegler herself went on to note that being given the role was truly a dream come true for her.

Although a multitude of netizens has celebrated her casting, there seem to be a few online citizens who do not accept Rachel Zegler's casting as she is of Latin race. As most may know, Snow White is an animated character that is predominantly caucasian.

But it seems as though Rachel Zegler had a few words to share with the bashers who do not support her casting. As per a now-deleted tweet, Zegler shared, "Yes, I am Snow White. No, I am not bleaching my skin for the role."

Although Disney princesses are known to be gentle, it seems as though Rachel Zegler is willing to fight for what she believes in, which is a very good role model trait. Snow White has taught the principles of being a woman when she was created and Zegler seems to continue that but with a modern twist.

Marc Webb, the director for Disney's live-action "Snow White" film is very happy with the casting. As per the director, "Rachel's extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts. Her strength, intelligence, and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairy tale."

If the director is happy with the role, it surely means that the casting choice was truly done right.
