There Could Be A Re-Debut For IZ*ONE, Insiders Say
Various insider reports have shared that CJ ENM is currently in discussions of a possible re-debut for girl group IZ*ONE.
Industry insiders said that "The IZ*ONE members have shown more will than anyone else in their wishes to promoting together, and there are mutual agreements between the agencies as well, so there are discussions in the direction of a reunion or re-debut."
Although this seems to appear like there is hope for the group, there are some details that are still not being properly discussed with the involved parties, so the possible date of a re-debut is still not set.
With the rumors being shared around K-pop communities, a representative of CJ ENM broke the silence and confirmed that there are holding discussions with the respective agencies of the IZ*ONE members. The agency is also aware of the fan's massive funding projects, and assured that the project will be invested by CJ ENM and not through the fan funding.
IZ*ONE is composed of the following girl members: Jang Won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Jo Yu-ri, Choi Ye-na, An Yu-jin, Nako Yabuki, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Hitomi Honda, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-ju, and Lee Chae-yeon. Fans hope that they will remain together if a new unit will possibly be formed after April.
Mnet officially announced IZ*ONE's disbandment on March 10. Mnet, Swing Entertainment, and Off the Record discussed and shared their opinions regarding the group and its future in a statement. IZ*ONE officially debuted to the public on October 18, formed through Mnet's reality idol search show "Produce 48". The group is managed by Off the Record and Swing Entertainment.
The official announcement of the disbandment left fans emotional on social media as the group's fate has been sealed. Many hope that their management and label would consider giving them another project or contract to keep this popular girl unit to continue performing.
