Mnet's official announcement of IZ* ONE's disbandment left fans emotional on social media as the group's fate has been sealed. Many hope that their management and label would consider giving them another project or contract to keep this popular girl unit to continue performing.

There seems to be a silver lining. Numerous reports have been circulating that some of the IZ*ONE members, including their respective entertainment agencies, were disappointed by the group's disbandment that they are considering making a new unit group. Discussions and promotions for this new endeavor are said to be underway.

A two-day online concert called "ONE, THE STORY" is scheduled to happen on March 13 and 14. This will be the group's one last performance before they officially part ways.

As of press time, no official announcement from the members or their respective agencies has been made concerning this future project. Fans are hoping that these reports are accurate and that all the girls will remain in this possible new "unit."

Mnet officially announced IZ* ONE's disbandment on March 10. Mnet, Swing Entertainment, and Off the Record discussed and shared their opinions regarding the group and its future in a statement. IZ*ONE officially debuted to the public on October 18, formed through Mnet's reality idol search show "Produce 48". The group is managed by Off the Record and Swing Entertainment.

The company expressed that they appreciate all the love and support that fans worldwide have given to IZ*ONE. A discussion of a possible contract extension happened early this year, but no updates of this report have been confirmed.

IZ*ONE is composed of the following girl members: Jang Won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Jo Yu-ri, Choi Ye-na, An Yu-jin, Nako Yabuki, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Hitomi Honda, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-ju, and Lee Chae-yeon. Fans hope that they will remain together if a new unit will possibly be formed after April.
