Lamb Of God Tour Cancelled Over IS Threats; Randy Blythe Release Statement!

Lamb of God's tour gets cancelled with sources citing IS threats as the reason.

Following the Islamic State threats on the continent, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe, wrote a lengthy statement on why his band decided to cancel their European tour, reported Rolling Stone.

On his Tumblr page Randonesia, Blythe explained that even after learning of the deadly attack during the "Eagles of Death Metal" show in Paris, his band carried on with the tour.

Lamb of God's tour continued in Germany and England before "something specific occurred" that made the band feel it was unwise to move forward and eventually prompted them to head home.

"Obviously, no working band wants to cancel a tour, especially once it is underway- fans get disappointed, a lot of money gets lost by several different groups of people, a massive amount of time is wasted by all parties involved, it's generally an all-around bad business move, and (trust me) it's just a huge pain in the a--," wrote Blythe.

The vocalist recalled sitting in his London hotel room while following the massacre at Bataclan Hall in Paris. Blythe said he pictured the club's layout in his mind.

Randy thought to himself that the concert hall is a terrible spot to be trapped in, which is what the gunmen wanted, revealed Loudwire.

The next day after the Paris attacks, "Lamb of God" continued to play in Birmingham and then flew to Stuttgart, Germany.

Before the band walked onstage in Stuttgart, Blythe saw on the news a soccer stadium in Hanover, north of where "Lamb of God" was, was being evacuated due to bomb threats.

Randy Blythe shared he did not feel relaxed onstage that night, but it turned out to be a great gig.

The band continued to travel to Tillburg, Netherlands and before their scheduled soundcheck, their tour manager gathered the members and gave the band news. That information prompted Blythe to cancel that night's gig and head for home, reported Revolver.

"I can deal with people disagreeing with me and my actions, no problem," wrote Randy Blythe. "I could not deal with a news story that reads, 'Hundreds die at Lamb of God concert; authorities say potential warning signs were ignored by band.' Better safe than on CNN."

"Lamb of God" tour resumes on Dec. 5 at Knotfest Mexico in Toluca, Mexico.

Also, beginning Jan. 15, the band will go on a North American tour with "Deafhaven" and "Anthrax."
