Benjamin Franklin once said, "Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise."

Do you have trouble falling or staying asleep? Are you just not feeling yourself lately? Don't worry, and it may be due to lack of sleep.

Sleep is important for your health. It's been proven that lack of sleep negatively affects the body, brain, memory, and decision-making. With all of the benefits sleep provides, it has never been more important than it is now.

Sleep supports a healthy immune system, reduces stress levels, and promotes longevity. With the amount of time we spend in bed, good sleep should be the number 1 priority for any athlete. When you are a professional athlete or serious amateur, when you are trying to get to the top of your game, it is vital that you are well-rested.

When you are sleeping, your body goes through several stages, and during certain stages, your body produces melatonin which is a hormone that helps regulate your circadian rhythm. This hormone is produced naturally as a hormone, but it can also be ingested in its natural state and still work as a hormone.

Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the pineal gland in our brains and affects the sleep cycle. It also has anti-aging and anti-cancer properties. A wide variety of other activities and interactions with various substances also affect melatonin levels and activity in the body.

It is also a powerful antioxidant that protects your cells against oxidative damage. This especially important for people who are deficient in antioxidants from the daily diet, as with those with digestive problems and those who are traveling or busy, often without enough time to eat properly.

Studies have shown that melatonin promotes better quality sleep, reduces sleep latency, and improves sleep efficiency, resulting in increased daytime alertness and an overall improvement in daytime function.

You can gain also gain important nutrients such as Omega-3 fatty acids by taking other supplements such as fish oil.
