IZ*ONE Member Miyawaki Sakura Shares How She Felt On Their Group’s Disbandment On Radio Show
On an April 28 episode of her own Bay FM radio show titled "Tonight, Under The Cherry Blossom Tree," now-former IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura read some letters sent by her fans.
In this episode, she also shared her feelings in regards to the disbandment. "IZ*ONE formed back on October 29, 2018, through the Mnet audition program 'Produce 48', has concluded all promotions as of April 29 at 12 AM KST, after two and a half years of promotions." She started.
She then assumed that WIZ*ONE would be crying while listening to the episode. She then continued saying that last week was the last time she introduced herself as IZ*ONE's Miyawaki Sakura. She then confessed that knowing that IZ*ONE promotions now ending doesn't feel great.
"After our last concert, there was a time when we had no schedules for about a year. We just spent our time in the dorm, or went on vacations, spending our time idly." She said, "I think that if we had been able to hold one last concert on April 28, I would have cried a lot. We all packed up our belongings. It felt kind of lonely. I don't exactly feel it yet, but I've prepared myself. But I suspect that the fans will have a hard time."
She said that she understands how people felt about everything, and it is indeed hard to face the reality. IZ*ONE's journey may have ended, but it will not erase the fact that she has been part of the group. She also expressed that though the group has already disbanded, their fans will always remain WIZ*ONE. She also said to her fans to continue to cheer for her as well as the other members of IZ*ONE in their future endeavors.
The journey of the popular project girl group IZ*ONE has come to an end as the group officially disbands today, April 29 (KST.)
