Prior to the official release of the film, Kang Ha Neul, together with his co-star Chun Woo Hee and director Jo Jin Mo, faced the press with promoting his upcoming movie, "Story of You and the Rain."

Directed by Jo Jin Mo, "Story of You and the Rain" ("비와 당신의 이야기") is a romance film that involves Kang Ha Neul's Young Ho and Chun Woo Hee's So Hee who misses each other but cannot meet. Through a chance letter, the two met and became each other's source of comfort.

During the press conference, Kang Ha Neul was asked for the reason why he accepted the offer to star in this film. The "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" actor revealed that the only reason why he accepted the film was because of its script. Kang Ha Neul shared that the script for "Story of you and the Rain" was really good and it was refreshing to read as it had been a while since he had a movie script with such a unique tone and atmosphere.

"There was only one reason I agreed to do the film. The script was really good. It felt like it had been a long time since I had read a script for a movie with this atmosphere and tone," Kang Ha Neul expressed.

Furthermore, Kang Ha Neul also shared that while reading the script, he felt nostalgic and thought of his past experiences.

"I thought a lot about what it was like to write love letters in the past, and tried to recreate those feelings of excitement and anticipation," Kang Ha Neul said.

The "When the Camellia Blooms" star went on to share that the script was so good that it was easy for him to get immersed in it. Kang Ha Neul then revealed a bit of how the film unfolds saying, "... instead of having a big dramatic ending, everything that had been building up until then burst open in small ways."

Kang Ha Neul is famous for his role as the 8th prince in "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo." He also bagged the "Best Actor" award in the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards and 2019 KBS Drama Awards for his lead role in "When the Camellia Blooms."
