Actress Han Ye Ri Of ‘Minari’ Goes To Hollywood, Signs With US Label
On April 9th, it was confirmed that the actress Han Ye Ri who played the lead role of Monica Yi for the film "Minari," has signed a contract with a US entertainment label, Echo Lake Entertainment.
Earlier today, various reports from US-based entertainment media news sites such as Deadline and Yahoo! News announced Han Ye Ri's exclusive contract with Echo Lake for her US representation. With this new contract, expectations are high, and all eyes are on Han Ye Ri's future Hollywood activities.
Han Ye Ri is part of the awesome cast of the award-winning film "Minari," which was directed and written by Korean-American director Lee Isaac Chung. The actress is also reportedly attending the upcoming 93rd Academy Awards to be held in Los Angeles, California. "Minari" is an Oscar favorite and has received nominations for six different categories, including "Best Director," "Best Original Screenplay," " Best Original Score," "Best Actor," "Best Supporting Actress," and "Best Picture."
Meanwhile, the actress also received a nomination for "Best Supporting Female Actress" for the Independent Spirit Awards that will be taking place in Santa Monica on April 23rd.
On the other hand, Han Ye Ri is set to appear in the upcoming OCN K-dama "Hometown," which is slated for broadcast in the second half of 2021. "Hometown" is said to be a mystery/thriller drama set in 1999 and will revolve around a detective whose wife died in a terrorist attack ten years prior.
In this drama, Han Ye Ri will play the character of Jo Jung Hyun. Her brother took part in the terrorist attack in 1989, and because of this, her whole life collapsed. From there, she was able to rebuild her life because of her niece. However, things mess up when her niece suddenly goes missing.
For the drama "Hometown," Han Ye Ri will be starring along with Yoo Jae Myung and Um Tae Goo.
