BLACKPINK Lisa’s Cover Photo In Latest Issue Of BAZAAR China Gets Taken Down

Just recently, a plethora of Chinese media personalities and celebrities have been starting to remove, disconnect, and disestablish themselves with multiple brands that fall under the "Better Cotton Initiative."

Companies that are under the initiative called "Better Cotton Initiative" include Nike, Adidas, H&M, and many more. These companies have supported the boycott of Xinjiang cotton. To combat this, there have been Chinese citizens calling to boycott the aforementioned companies as well.

Due to this, companies and brands are now in a panic to displace themselves, which varies on their stance.

A perfect example would be one member of GOT7. Almost instantaneously after Jackson Wang of GOT7 announced that he was severing ties with shoe label Adidas, Shinsegae Duty Free, a department store, very swiftly removed their announcement of Jackson as their new face on their Instagram account. This happened right as they made GOT7's Jackson their latest model.

In another recent story, BLACKPINK's dancer and maknae, Lisa, was able to feel the repercussions of the recent happenings regardless of her not having any stance in politics.

Hailing from the country of Thailand, politics with regards to China has never been a part of the dancer's agenda. But regardless of this fact, her recent cover shoot with the magazine BAZAAR China was removed from all and every social media account.

It can be confirmed that Lisa has no fault in this in any way, but it is assumed that the BLACKPINK member's connection with the brand Adidas Originals may have forced the hand of BAZAAR China.

The members of BLACKPINK have modeled for Adidas Originals. This is true both internationally and locally in South Korea. Due to this happening, a multitude of Chinese BLINKs and netizens have pointed toward her photo removal to this event.

BAZAAR China has not yet released any statements with regards to this matter. Additionally, YG Entertainment has also not addressed the situation.
