Saved By The Kids: BTS Are Big Winners At The 2021 Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards
South Korean boy band BTS may have lost big in their GRAMMYs 2021 nomination, but they were saved by kids at the 2021 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, winning multiple accolades. United States Vice President Kamala Harris is also featured on the show.
BTS, composed of artists Jungkook, Kim Taehyung, Jimin, Suga, Jin, RM, and J-Hope emerged on top after scoring three wins at this year's edition of Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards.
They won their three nominations, Favorite Music Group, Favorite Global Music Star, and Favorite Song for "Dynamite." This song is the music they lost at the GRAMMYs for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
They received their award virtually and thanked the unwavering cheer and support from their fan base, known as the ARMY.
"We love you, and we miss you... you guys are the best," BTS said at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
United States Vice President Kamala Harris also shared an inspiring messaging, detailing the role of children in creating a better future.
"Thank you Nickelodeon and also thank you to the young leaders for being so incredible and for all that you do and will do. From social distancing to remote learning, you've been through a lot this year but through it all, you young leaders have really stepped up. You've worn your masks, you've helped out your neighbors, you've been role models in your community," Vice President Kamala Harris said.
She presented the Generation Change Award to young leaders who worked hard during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards were hosted by Kenan Thompson, and will be shown in Southeast Asia on March 17th in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
