Ciipher Debuts With ‘I Like You,’ Get To Know The Members Of Rain’s Newest Boy Group
On March 15th, RAIN Company finally unveiled their first-ever boy group Ciipher with the debut mini-album "I Like You" with the title track of the same name.
The seven-membered boy group is composed of some contestants from "NO.MERCY," "Produce X 101," "YG Treasure Box," and "Under Nineteen." Expectations are high for the boy group, and if you are planning on getting to know the boys of Ciipher, here some bits and pieces of information about each member.
Chosen as the leader of Ciipher, Hyunbin participated in the reality show "Produce X 101," where he ranked 32nd. He was a former Starship Entertainment trainee before signing with RAIN Company and was supposed to debut with some of the Cravity members. You can follow Ciipher Hyunbin on Instagram at @_hyun_cong.
Along with Hyunbin, Tan was also a former Starship Entertainment trainee. In fact, he also joined the survival show "NO.MERCY," which formed MONSTA X. You can follow Ciipher Tan on Instagram at @choiseokone1.
There are no other records regarding Hwi's trainee life aside from him being with RAIN Company. The 22-year-old Ciipher member is fond of watching movies and playing badminton. Aside from that, however, not much is known about Ciipher Hwi.
Keita is the only Japanese member of Ciipher. Prior to joining RAIN Company, he was a contestant on YG's Treasure Box but was eliminated during the 9th episode. He can either be a vocalist or rapper of the group.
Although TAG is Korean, he was raised in Thailand and was once a child model and actor. TAG can speak three languages, including Korean, English, and Thai. He has writing and producing credits on Rain's "Come Over" as well as Ciipher's 3 songs: "Solo," "An Ggulyeo," and "Fire."
Dohwan is also a contestant on YG's Treasure Box, along with fellow member Keita. He was a YG Trainee who got eliminated on the 9th episode. You can follow him on Instagram at @dohwan_kil_826.
Won is the youngest among the Ciipher members; therefore is the "maknae." Prior to joining RAIN Company, he was a contestant of Under Nineteen and even won to debut with the project boy group 1THE9 in April 2019. After the official disbandment of 1THE9 in August 2020, Won signed with RAIN Company to debut with Ciipher.
