Southeast Asia Is About To Get A Representative In The Pantheon Of Marvel Heroes On Disney Plus
Marvel, the birthplace of many indomitable heroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, and many others, has been on top of its game since its creation in 1939.
Starting off as Marvel comics, the company has birthed out an unlimited amount of entertainment for the media and pop culture. Entertainment such as comic books, books, tv shows, toys, video games, and beloved movies. Marvel is truly a world-wide enterprise. And within that pool of unlimited entertainment comes the glue that binds all of it tother: the heroes.
Since Marvel has had a global reach, it is not a surprise that heroes come in every shape or form. Aside from humanoid aliens and creatures, many and all cultures of the human race have been integrated to make sure that each and every fan has a character to relate to among the seven thousand heroes Marvel has in its roster.
And now, possibly sooner than expected, the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has announced that a Southeast Asian superhero will finally represent the Southeast Asian Nations on Disney Plus.
"High time we get a Southeast Asian Marvel superhero on Disney+." Feige shared during a Q & A segment.
The popularity of Asian Marvel heroes has recently grown in ranks. Marvel heroes such as Kamala Khan; Marvel's latest iteration of Miss Marvel, Xi'an Coy Manh; also known as Karma, Amadeus Cho; aka the Hulk, and Shang-Chi; the very first Asian Marvel hero and the first to get his main film to name a few are growing fan favorites from Marvel.
So it is truly a treat for all Marvel fans that Marvel has actual plans of making a series on Disney Plus with a Southeast Asian Hero as the main protagonist in mind.
