JYP Entertainment's ITZY is set to test the waters on the global stage after it was confirmed that the two-year-old girl group would release their first-ever English album this January.

Surprise to MIDZYs

On December 25th, ITZY surprised fans with a poster through their official SNS pages. Through the poster, the quintet from JYP announced that they would release the album "Not Shy (English Version)" for the world to witness at 2 PM (KST) on January 22nd next year.

ITZY's upcoming album will include the English version of their four previously-released title songs since debut: "Dalla Dalla," "ICY," "WANNABE" their latest "NOT SHY."

The "Monster" Rookie

Since debut, ITZY has become one of the fast-rising K-Pop group in the industry. The five girls have set records after records since their debut. It is worth noting that their sizzling hot debut release with "Dalla Dalla" earned them the 3rd spot in Billboard's "World Digital Song Sales Chart." Moreover, "Dalla Dalla" was also able to sell 2,000 downloads in the U.S. the first week after its successful release.

The "monster" girl group from JYP became the fastest girl group to grab a music show win, having achieved the amazing feat only nine days after their debut. Not only that but at just 23 days after their debut, they have broken a record that was previously set 22 years ago by the legendary K-Pop girl group S.E.S. by having the most music show wins for a debut song. In total, ITZY's "Dalla Dalla" made history by winning 8 music show trophies and even taking home their first-ever triple crown on SBS's "Inkigayo."

The "Ultimate K-pop Girl Group" in the making

With almost two years since its debut, ITZY is steadily showing its impressive power as an "all-rounder girl group" that will soon dominate the fourth generation of the Korean pop industry.

After their record-breaking release of "Dalla Dalla," ITZY has become nothing but consistent in showcasing their leveled-up charisma and star quality every time they perform on stage. Known as one of the most sought-after groups of K-Pop's fourth-generation slate, ITZY has visited a total of 11 cities across Asia and North America last year for their showcase tour entitled, "ITZY PREMIERE SHOWCASE TOUR ITZY?ITZY!" Meanwhile, their first comeback with "ICY" earned the gorgeous quintet 12 additional music show wins. They were also awarded as the "Female Rookie Idol of the Year" and "Best New Artist" for 2019 by numerous award-giving bodies in South Korea.

This year, ITZY's third title song, "WANNABE," was recently selected as one of Spotify's "Global Top Streamed K-Pop Song." Time Magazine has also listed "NOT SHY" as one of "2020 K-Pop Song & Album of the Year."

With their amazing accolades in their two years in the industry as well as the hot response of both the Korean and International audiences to their past releases, ITZY is planning to expand their horizons on the Western market with their upcoming English album release.

We are all looking forward to a brighter ITZY for 2021.
