Get To Know The Korean Actors Who Will Be Discharged From Military In January 2021

2020 is almost over. It has been but a roller coaster ride for everyone, well an indoor one we must say. 

So many things have happened but one thing is for certain, we can hope for the best in the new year. 

Another thing to look forward into is the return of some of our favorite oppas from the military. We bet their fans have been eagerly waiting for their comeback. So, without further ado, here are three Korean actors who will be discharged from the military very soon!

Lee Jong-suk

Discharge date: January 2, 2021

First on our list is South Korean actor and model Lee Jong-suk who is set to return from service on January 2, 2021. This Korean "Top Actor" was famous for his roles in "I Can Hear Your Voice" (2013), "Doctor Stranger" (2014), "Pinocchio" (2014), "W: Two Worlds" (2016), "While You Were Sleeping" (2017), "The Hymn of Death" (2018), and "Romance is a Bonus Book" (2019).

When he was 16, he suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) from a car accident. Because of this he was deemed unfit for service as an active duty soldier. So, on March 8, 2019, he began his mandatory service as a public service worker at an undisclosed district office. 

Lee Jung-suk was born on September 14, 1989 and started his career in the entertainment industry in 2005 as a runway model. He was tagged as the youngest male model ever to participate in Seoul Fashion Week.

Park Hyung-sik

Discharge date: January 4, 2021

Next in-line is Park Hyung-sik, more known as Hyungsik, who is a member of the South Korean boy group ZE:A. Not only is he a famous kpop idol, he is also a multi talented celebrity who has launched a successful acting career. 

Hyungsik began his military service on June 10, 2019 and is serving as an active duty soldier in the military police department of the Capital Defense Command. 

The 28-year old idol-actor is known for his portrayal in numerous dramas such as "The Heirs" (2013), "High Society" (2015), "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth" (2016), "Strong Girl Bong-soon" (2017), and "Suits" (2018). He will be returning from service on January 4, 2021. 

Lee Won-geun

Discharge date: January 07, 2021

Third on our list is Lee Won-geun who is a South Korean actor and model. He enlisted on June 13, 2019 to fulfill his mandatory service as a conscripted policeman. 

Lee Won-geun made his debut in 2012 through the hit MBC drama "The Moon Embracing the Sun." The 29-year old actor has appeared in many other productions such as "Secret Door," "Cheer Up!" "Good Wife," "Queen of Mystery," and "Jugglers."

He will be returning from service on January 7, 2021.
