BLACKPINK's 'The Album' Returns To No. 1 On The Billboard Charts
The BLINKs will have more reasons to celebrate K-Pop group BLACKPINK's continuous success as their newest album titled "The Album" returned to the number one spot on Billboard's World Albums chart.
"The Album" is the latest album of BLACKPINK, and is also the first full-length album of the Korean girl group. It has been in the chart for seven weeks, and has now returned to the top spot on the November 28th week list on the American media entertainment brand.
"The Album" is comprised of songs "How You Like That," "Ice Cream," "Pretty Savage," "Bet You Wanna," "Lovesick Girls," "Crazy Over You," "Love To Hate Me," and "You Never Know" from BLACKPINK members Lisa, Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo. In the song "Ice Cream," they featured U.S.-based pop singer Selena Gomez.
Various albums from K-Pop artists also made it to the World Albums chart on Billboard. BTS has six albums successfully landing on the latest chart. It includes their albums "Map Of The Soul: 7" on the third spot, "Love Yourself: Answer" on the fifth spot, "Skool Luv Affair" at number eight, "Love Yourself: Her" at number seven, "Map Of The Soul: Persona" on the 14th spot, and "Love Yourself: Tear" on the 15th spot. The group recently performed during the 2020 American Music Awards, after they launched their newest song, "Life Goes On."
Meanwhile, NCT's "Resonance Pt. 1" retained their sixth spot for the sixth week on the World Album chart, with K/DA's "All Out" featuring vocals from TWICE and (G)I-DLE landed on number seven.
SuperM's "Super One" full-length album is at the eleventh spot on the chart on its eighth week.
BLACKPINK is also gracing Tokopedia's "Waktu Indonesia Belanja" or "Indonesia Shopping Time" shopping event that promotes its monthly promo. Tokopedia is an eCommerce giant based in the Southeast Asian country, and they invited the K-Pop girl group to perform virtually. The quartet will likewise be taking part in the Tokopedia's game shows.
