YG Entertainment Group BLACKPINK has made another record with their music video for the song "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du."

Soompi reports that the MV has now garnered 1.4 billion views on YouTube. This is the first MV for a K-pop group to achieve this record. PSY's "Gangnam Style" is the only one to have achieved this same record in the past. "Ddu-du Ddu-du" was released in 2018.

Meanwhile, the girls have just been chosen as Variety's 2020 Group of the Year. A special Hitmaker's issue will be released on December 2, which will have Hitmaker of the Year Harry Styles on the cover. All the winners, including Lews Capaldi as Songwriter of the Year and J Balvin as Collaborator of the Year, will be recognized in a broadcast to be done on December 3 at 8 PM EST.

BLACKPINK has done very well this year, releasing their collab song "Ice Cream" with artist Selena Gomez. Shortly after, they released "The Album," featuring the title song "Lovesick Girls" plus a few more songs, including a collab with Cardi B. They also released a documentary film on Netflix. "BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky" showed the group's journey from the time they debuted in 2016 until now.
