The BlackbBerry Priv, after a two-week test seems to be a keeper, according to Dominic Young of The Register.

The Priv, for Young, is by far the best Android phone.

The ultimate verdict was after the two week test, is if Dominic would be happy to see the review unit go. The handy was returned and the author decided to buy himself one.

The new BlackBerry Priv features a slider keyboard, with dual-curve edge display and an Android OS on board.

For comparison, Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 is a worthy replacement of the Note 4. The well designed phone comes with an advanced stylus, with auto-eject mechanism and cutting edge configurations, according to the International Business Times.

The BlackBerry flagship has a 5.4-inch AMOLED screen, while the Galaxy Note 5 shows a 5.7-inch super AMOLED display. Both screens have more than 500 ppi pixel strength.

The Priv's handset has curved edges which makes the phone look bezel-free and the rear panel  carries a glass weave look, revealed the TechnoBuffalo.

On the other hand, the BlackBerry Priv's screen does not wrap effortlessly around the handset, unlike the Galaxy S6 Edge+, due to the slider which was noticed by CNet.

The Galaxy Note 5 is powered by an Exynos 7420 processor and is backed by 4 GB of RAM, while the BlackBerry Priv is powered by Snapdragon 8o8 SoC and 3 GB of RAM.

Both handsets run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and are upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Also, both come with 32 GB storage space.

The BlackBerry Priv has a noteworthy 18-megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach camera with OIS support  and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 5 has a 16-megapixel rear-facing sensor with OIS support and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

When it comes to battery life, the Priv beats the Galaxy Note 5 with a removable Li-Ion 3,410 mAh cell. The Samsung phone comes with a non-removable Li-Po 3,000 mAh unit. Both handsets support the option of wireless charging.

Unlike the Galaxy Note 5, the BlackBerry Priv does not house a fingerprint sensor. Samsung's handset  comes with an advanced S Pen stylus, while the Priv features a 4-row BlackBerry keyboard.

The Blackberry Priv can now be ordered on their official website for $699 in the United States.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 retails for $699.99 at Best Buy.
