Kang Daniel Takes Break from Industry Due to ‘Extreme Anxiety’
A recent article from Yonhap reported that Kang Daniel will be going on a hiatus from the entertainment industry. His management stated on Wednesday, Dec. 4 that the 23 year-old star will pause his career activities due to depression and panic disorder.
Konnect Entertainment also noted that Kang Daniel was diagnosed with mental health issues earlier this year.
A statement from Konnect Entertainment read: "[Kang] has complained of extreme anxiety recently ... leading to the conclusion that what should be considered the top priority for the health and safety of the artist is relaxation and rest."
This news comes one week after the release of Kang's latest single "Touchin." The agency also made it clear that there will be no stage promotions for the song.
Kang, himself, has been vocal about his mental distress. He shared a post on Tuesday, Dec. 3 stating: "I am under immense pain. I wish somebody could please save me."
