Interview With Salah Abdeslam's Brother Released; Mohamed Denies Involvement In Paris Attacks!
Mohamed Abdeslam, the brother of two suspects accused in the Paris attacks, have spoken to media, according to the Independent.
Mohamed told reporters that he is not involved in the massacre, even in the slightest way and has no idea where his brother Salah Abdeslam is, who is currently the focus of an international manhunt.
Salah is also France's most wanted man.
"I have worked for the local council for 10 years and I've never had a problem with anyone... my parents are completely shocked by the tragedy," told Abdeslam during his interview, in Brussel's Molenbeek area.
Mohamed Abdeslam added that he never noticed anything strange with his two brothers.
Mohamed's brother, Brahim died Friday, due to suicide bombing. He blew himself up outside the Comptoir Voltaire café in the eleventh arrodissement in Paris and in the process injured one person, revealed The Telegraph. He was 31 years old.
His 26-year old brother Salah was discovered to be the driver and renter of a Polo Volkswagen that was parked outside the Bataclan concert hall, reported the Daily Mail. 89 people were killed in the theatre.
Salah was stopped by police near the French Belgian border Saturday morning, but was later released after checks.
"My brother Salah still has not been heard from, perhaps he just isn't daring to show himself to the authorities," said Abdeslam. "My brothers are big boys, we don't ask what they do with their time."
Mohamed added that his family was extremely affected by what has happened in Paris and that they are thinking about the victims. Abdeslam told reporters that to their mother, his brothers are just her children.
Mohamed Abdeslam was taken into custody after the Paris attacks by Belgian Police. He was questioned several hours but was later released.
129 people were killed in Friday night's attacks in Paris, most of them in the Bataclan Theatre. 352 individuals were wounded and 99 are in critical condition.
