Kang Daniel Drops New Photos; Teases Upcoming Solo Album
Kang Daniel is definitely back. The former Wanna One member has dropped new photos of himself on Instagram and teased what could be expected from his upcoming solo album.
Daniel has shared over the weekend two photos of himself on IG, the first time since he created the account in March. It can be recalled that Daniel created another solo IG account after he revealed a conflict with his agency, LM Entertainment, back in March.
He posted three images at the time. It was followed by a handwritten letter for his fans in May and another message in June. In his newly-shared images on IG, Daniel teased starting his career all over again.
One of the new photos features Daniel in a recording studio while holding a piece of paper with the word "The End" written on it. It could be in reference to the conclusion of his recording sessions for his upcoming solo debut or the end of his temporary hiatus following the resolution of his dispute with LM.
The second photo features Daniel taking a mirror selfie from what appears to be a dance practice studio. He captioned the image "Starting again!"
Although Daniel's his newly established agency, KONNECT Entertainment, has yet to announce a date for the singer's solo debut, the Produce 101 winner has already told his fans that he is coming back really soon. On his first IG Live broadcast, Daniel revealed that he is working on his new music and has participated in composing and writing lyrics for his songs.
There were also reports that Daniel had finished shooting the jacket photos for his upcoming album. Devine Channel, a team that has previously worked with BTS and EXO, reportedly helped in producing the album.
Meanwhile, Kang Daniel's fans have shared their excitement about the singer's new photos on IG and his upcoming comeback. The It's Dangerous Beyond The Blankets cast member has been away from the spotlight since his conflict with LM started.
Kang Daniel debuted in August 2017 as one of the 11 members of Wanna One after finishing first in Produce 101 Season 2. The group disbanded in December 2018 after Swing Entertainment did not renew the contract of the members. Wanna One wrapped up their group activities earlier this year.
Daniel then moved to LM Entertainment after Wanna One finished all of their group activities. But in March, he admitted a dispute with LM and subsequently filed an injunction to suspend his exclusive contract with the label.
The court ruled in favor of Daniel last month. The ruling allows him to pursue independent activities without any interference from his former agency. Earlier this month, it was announced that the singer has established his own agency, KONNECT Entertainment, for his promotions as solo artists and KD Corporation for everything about Kang Daniel.
