Sega's tactical role series "Valkyria Chronicles" is getting an HD remaster and a sequel, according to Wired. This was first reported by Japanese magazine, Famitsu.

Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of 1930s Europe, and is ruled by the Empire and the Federation.

The Empire has set its sights on invading a small neutral country called Gallia, which is situated in the middle of the two great empires.

The game follows a hero named Welkin and his fellow soldiers of the Federation's 7th Platoon that are fighting against the Empire, who are intent on unifying the continent under its power.

The Federation discovers that the Empire possesses a secret weapon, known as the "Valkyria" - an ancient race with special powers thought to exist only in legends.

With this new discovery, the fate of the Federation's ability to win the war and a hope for a better future hangs in the balance, relayed by Metacritic.

Famitsu is also the first to offer direct-feed screenshots of the newly announced "Valkyria: Azure Revolution" and "Valkyria Chronicles Remaster," cited Gematsu.

Though not its official english title, 'Valkyria of the Blue Revolution" will be the first new game since 2011 in the series.

"Valkyria Chronicles 3" then, was released on the PlayStation Portable exclusively in Japan. The new game will be with a high-definition version of the series' first game, both will be available on PlayStation 4.

Sega's strategy RPG, "Valkyria Chronicles" remake will be released on Feb. 10 in Japan and no announcement just yet for North America, revealed Engadget"Valkyria: Azure Revolution" is due out in winter 2016, in Japan.

Last month, Sega filed trademarks in both Japanese and English for "Valkyria: Azure Revolution," as reported by Polygon.

This week's new issue of Famitsu will include screenshots and an interview with the developers. The Japanese magazine will be available on Nov. 19.
