BTS is eyeing for their third consecutive win at the Billboard Music Awards when they attend this year's awards show on May 1 following the successful release of their latest album, Map of the Soul: Persona. Additionally, the K-pop group sensation is also set to perform at the event their latest hit song "Boy With Luv" with American singer Halsey.

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards confirmed over the weekend that BTS will be attending the event next month and will perform the lead track of their latest album with Halsey. Last year, the septet performed "Fake Love" at BMAs.

BTS first attended BMAs in 2017. Since then, they have won the Top Social Artist award for two years in a row. The group's first win in 2017 ended Justin Bieber six-year run in taking home the award and also made them the first Korean group to ever win a BMA.

This year, BTS is not only nominated for Top Social Artist category. They also received a nod for Top Duo/Group award. The 2019 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast live on NBC from at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 1 at 8 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile, Jin, Suga, H-Jope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook had their comeback stage on NBC's sketch show Saturday Night Live. The group performed "Boy With Luv" and the remix version of "MIC Drop." BTS is the first Korean artist to perform on the show.

The K-pop group gained more fans in addition to their already millions of ARMYs. Many SNL fans and non-K-pop fans who watch BTS performed live in the show expressed their respect to the group. Many praised BTS for their ability to dance and sing flawlessly all at the same time.

"I have complete respect for any performer that can keep up with that level of choreography and sing live. BTS is for real," an SNL fan commented.

"[I] haven't listened to BTS like... at all but holy sh** I'm super impressed by their performance at #SNL tonight. Phenomenal," another wrote.

Meanwhile, BTS's "Boy With Luv" has officially confirmed to have smashed the record of most-watched video in 24-hour debut in YouTube's history. The content sharing site has yet to release the exact numbers for the "Boy With Luv" music video. However, it already confirmed that BTS's latest hit has taken the record that made earlier this month by BLACKPINK.

The MV of the K-pop female group's new song "Kill This Love" recorded 56.7 million views in 24 hours. As of writing, BTS's "Boy With Luv" has garnered 123 million views.
