'Grey's Anatomy' & 'Station 19' Staging A New TGIT Crossover; Meredith's Career Will Be In Jeopardy
Shondaland's Grey's Anatomy and Station 19 are gearing to another crossover next month. It has been teased that at least three of Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital will have a life-changing experience in the upcoming crossover.
The story will begin in Grey's when one of Station 19 firefighters is rushed into the hospital for treatment. It could be life-threatening injuries as Dr. Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) is called in to attend to the firefighter.
Jo Karev (Camilla Luddington) will help out Maggie. While handling the treatment of the firefight, Alex Karev's (Justin Chambers) wife, will learn a difficult lesson.
Elsewhere, Harper Avery awardee Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) will work on a family seeking asylum. Apparently, she will be forced to make a decision that will put her career in jeopardy.
The Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 23, titled "What I Did for Love," airs on May 2 at 8 p.m. It will be directed by cast member Jesse Williams.
It will be followed by Station 19's "Always Ready" at 9 p.m. It will feature the events leading up to a crew of the fire station ending up in Grey Sloan Memorial.
The team responds to a fire that breaks out in a coffee beanery. It is unclear who will be the firefighter who gets injured in the line of work.
In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Station 19 actress Danielle Savre (Maya Bishop) teased that the episode will have a major impact on all of the series characters. She said it was a "rough episode" to watch and all of the cast members cried while filming it.
The upcoming TGIT crossover is the second one between the two ABC dramas. The first one was aired in October 2018 and it was the highest rated episode of Station 19 so far.
The Grey's Anatomy spinoff is currently on its second season. Aside from Savre, Station 19 also stars Grey's alum Jason George, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Grey Damon, Barrett Doss, Alberto Frezza, Jay Hayden, Okieriete Onaodowan, and Miguel Sandoval.
Meanwhile, in this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 15, Amelia and Link will be in an awkward situation when her sister, Nancy Shepherd, invited them to dinner at her home after Amelia introduced Link as her husband. Amelia and Link travel to New York to operate on a patient who has a severe spinal deformity. The episode, titled "Good Shepherd," airs on April 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
