BIGBANG's G-Dragon Posts First Instagram Update Since Enlistment + Seungri Resigns As Head Of His Ramen Restaurant
BIGBANG member G-Dragon is back on Instagram. He recently posts an update and his fans are freaking out. Meanwhile, bandmate Seungri continues to deal with the Burning Sun scandal and now also resigned from his post at his ramen restaurant.
G-Dragon doesn't want his fans to miss him so much. The singer/songwriter shared on Instagram some photos of the pages of Nietzsche's book. The chapter titles translate to "How To Live" and "Bet on Not Your Country's Ideals, But Your Ideals."
It looks like the 30-year-old K-pop idol is currently digging into Nietzsche's works. GD also posted a screenshot of his phone lock screen with the time and date.
"2019.02.11 Everyone says 'hello,'" he wrote in the caption along with the hashtag "Nietzsche's Words."
Although the singer did not post a picture of him, BIGBANG fans (also called the VIPs) are pleased that GD is back on social media. This is G-Dragon's first IG update since he started his military service on February 27, 2018. His last post was a couple of days before his enlistment. G-Dragon is expected to be discharged in October 2019.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG member Seungri stepped down from his post at his ramen business, Aori Ramen. Reports indicate that Seungri resigned as the executive director at his Japanese ramen restaurant chain on February 7.
Seungri opened his first Aori Ramen restaurant in December 2016. It quickly grew and now has 50 branches across South Korea.
Some BIGBANG fans were not surprised by Seungri's resignation. YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk earlier said that the singer is already in the process of making arrangements on his businesses before he starts his military enlistment this year.
Seungri earlier resigned as executive director of Burning Sun in Gangnam district after the club got embroiled in a scandal. Police are still investigating the club for claims of assault, rape, drugs, and even corruption.
Meanwhile, Seungri is set to hold his Seungri First Solo Tour- The Greatest Seungri- Final in Seoul concert on February 16 and 17. This will be his last concert performance before his enlistment.
There were earlier reports that there have been ticket cancellations on Seungri's concert and some fans are also considering selling their tickets via online community websites. Apparently, the cancellations are due to the Burning Sun scandal.
